Arabic (العَرَبِية) is a Central Semitic language spoken by approximately 300 million speakers in more than 20 states in Western Asia, North Africa and the Horn of Africa.
Modern Standard Arabic is official language in 28 states, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Lebanon and Israel and it is one of the official languages of the United Nations.
Historically and culturally one of the most influential world languages, Arabic is the fifth largest world language and one of the ten most widely taught second languages.
