I started working at Ciklopea on recommendation of my university professor in October 2014, while still being a degree candidate in English and pedagogy. It was my first job as a professional translator and my first contact with the working world. The job at Ciklopea gave me the opportunity to apply the knowledge I had acquired at the university, and to learn about certain aspects of the translating job that come to life only in the everyday work.

In addition to learning to work in various CAT and QA tools, Ciklopea has enabled me to get acquainted with translation of different types of material, ranging from topics concerning industry and technology, business and marketing to medicine and pharmacy. This has enabled me to become experienced in different areas, but also to get orientation and specialization in certain areas, in accordance with my individual preferences.

The main advantages of working at Ciklopea are the excellent working atmosphere, as well as the collaborators who are always willing to help. In addition to supervisors who always provide the feedback required by continuous advancement and development, all the employees are always available to answer any question. The more experienced colleagues are always willing to share their experience and to solve any problem and answer every challenge in a joint effort with the newcomers. This is of utmost importance at the beginning of a career.

A priceless experience such as this one, together with the first step to the world of translation will be there for all who apply for Ciklopea Summer School taking place in August!
